STA Florida adds Kids’ Night events to the 2020 Conference

STA Florida is excited to announce the addition of events for kids at this year’s conference. Kids’ Night will allow attendees to leave their kids with Professional Caregivers. A wide variety of activities will be available to kids including toys, crafts, and movies!

STA Florida is honored to have the Honorable Ric Keller as our Special Guest Speaker

Former U.S. Congressman Ric Keller (R-FL) served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2001 through January 2009.  He represented the Greater Orlando area and served on the Judiciary and Education Committees.

Ric is a partner at the law firm of Hill Rugh Keller & Main in Orlando, Florida, www.hrkmlaw.com, where he focuses on commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, and products liability defense. He is also an on-air Political Analyst for the Fox 35 TV station.

Ric was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, and grew up in Orlando. He received his bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University, where he graduated first in his class, and his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School.

In his free time, Ric loves riding his Ducati motorcycle and attending concerts, comedy clubs, and football games.

As Raymond James’ chief investment strategist and a managing director of the firm’s Equity Research department, Jeff Saut provides timely and insightful market commentary to Raymond James financial advisors, their clients, portfolio managers and institutional clients through daily strategy calls and weekly written commentary, as well as local and national media appearances.

Meet Jeff Saut

A disciple of the markets for more than 46 years, Jeff possesses a breadth of experience in the field few can match. He was managing director of research at Roney & Co. when it became part of Raymond James in 1999. Prior to that, he was managing director of equity capital markets for Sterne, Agee & Leach. His responsibilities there included equity research, investment banking, institutional sales and syndicate.

After graduating from St. Andrews in early 1971, Jeff began his career on a trading desk in New York, becoming a trading desk manager in 1972. In 1973, he joined E.F. Hutton & Company, where he began following equities and providing research commentary. He subsequently worked as a securities analyst for Wheat First Securities, and then Branch Cabell & Co., where he was director of research and acted as portfolio manager for the firm’s affiliate, Exeter Capital Management. Jeff was also director of research for the regional brokerage firm Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc., where he developed the firm’s research and institutional sales efforts.

Jeff is well known for his insightful and colorful stock market commentary when appearing on various programs on PBS, NPR, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, USA Network and Fox News, as well as various local radio and television networks. He is often quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barron’s, The Washington Post, BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report, Fortune and SmartMoney, as well as on websites including thestreet.com and msnbc.com.

STA Florida Selects The Flutie Foundation as Their 20l9 Charity Recipient.

For 2019, STA has selected The Flutie Foundation as the 2019 Charity Recipient.

Melbourne Beach is the home of the Flutie Family and Dougie, Jr. is a student at the Scott Center for Autism. Annually, the Flutie Foundation  distributes funding to schools and organizations supporting people with autism in Central Florida.
